Curriculum Project

School to Work

The “School to Work” module is designed to support international graduate students as they transition from academic life to the professional workforce in the United States. Hosted on Google Classroom and aligned with ISTE standards, this module addresses the unique challenges that foreign graduates often encounter, including navigating workplace culture, understanding professional expectations, and building essential career skills. Through a combination of interactive resources, multimedia content, and practical assignments, students will develop competencies in communication, digital literacy, and professional networking. The module also fosters reflective practices, empowering students to critically analyze their career readiness and develop strategies for long-term success in the U.S. workforce.

ISTE Standard Alignment

Primary: ISTE 2-C – Establish shared goals with educators, reflect on successes and continually improve coaching and teaching practice.

Secondary: ISTE 1-B – Facilitate equitable use of digital learning tools and content that meet the needs of each learner.
